Founding Grower
A one-time $99 payment for Hypha Pro for the life of Hypha, open Nov 9–30, 2026, for 50 spots. Founders also get early access to beta features, a direct line to the team, and their Aeris Gen 1 order ships first. The details are in the Founding Grower Terms.
For as long as Hypha runs. You keep Pro as it is when you buy, or better; it's never downgraded. If Hypha ever shuts down, we'll give notice and a full data export. It covers one grower (no Farm or team seats), and add-ons with per-use costs, like AI features, aren't included.
Yes, within 30 days of buying, for any reason. Email us and we'll refund you in full; your account goes back to the plan you had before.
No. Aeris is hardware and sold separately, but Founding Growers go to the top of the Gen 1 shipping queue: if you order one, yours ships first.
Yes, and you don't need to cancel first. Claim a spot and your Pro subscription stops renewing, so you won't be charged for it again, and you keep Pro for life. If you're still in your trial, it ends with no charge. What you've already paid isn't refunded.
Common questions
Hypha is a mushroom grow tracking app by Demeter Mycolabs, for iOS, Android and the web. It follows each block from inoculation through harvest, keeping strains and lineage, tasks, inventory, costs and photos in one place. It's built for advanced hobbyists running many strains and for microfarms. The Free plan is free forever; Pro and Farm add cost tracking.
Yes, Hypha can walk you through a first bag or tub, and its guides, tours and reminders are all on the Free plan. The Typical grow stages guide covers spore, culture, spawn and bulk: what to do at each stage, and typical timing for every stage after spore. The guide also notes where most beginners start: culture, spawn, or a ready-to-grow block.
When you add a block, Hypha sets up its reminders from typical timings, and you can adjust them for each block. Grain spawn and all-in-one bags get break & shake reminders, and bulk blocks get a reminder to move into fruiting, then flush reminders. Reminders show up on the block's timeline and in the Schedule tab, not as phone notifications.
Step-by-step tours show how to add and edit blocks, strains, zones, inventory and recipes, and the ? in the top bar replays any tour.
Hypha Aeris is a CO₂, temperature and humidity sensor for mushroom grow rooms. It's in a closed, application-only beta and isn't for sale yet; reservations are planned for 2027. In the beta, Aeris sends readings to the Hypha app for monitoring, historical trends, and alerts. The Hypha app works without it.
Yes. Hypha is available now on iOS, Android and the web. Hypha 1.0 launched on the App Store and Google Play on June 30, 2026.
Hypha's free tier keeps the core experience accessible for hobby growers, while Pro and Farm tiers unlock advanced features for serious mycologists and commercial operations.

Hypha, the mushroom grow tracking app from Demeter Mycolabs, is free; Pro is $12 a month and Farm $25 a month plus $15 per extra user (USD). Every new account starts with a 60-day Pro trial, no card needed.
- Free, for beginners and casual hobby growers: 1 monitored zone, 25 active blocks and 7 days of environmental data
- Pro, for advanced hobbyists and mycologists: 5 monitored zones, 250 active blocks, unlimited environmental history and cost tracking
- Farm, for microfarms and commercial growers: unlimited monitored zones and active blocks, unlimited history, cost tracking and teams
Monitored zones and environmental data need Hypha Aeris (closed beta, not for sale yet); grow tracking works without it.
See the full breakdown on our dedicated pricing page.
View pricing →No. The Free plan is free forever and needs no credit card. Pro and Farm are optional monthly plans for growers who need more zones, blocks or environmental history.
If you upgrade, you can cancel anytime: you drop back to Free, and your grow data stays.
Yes. New Hypha accounts get a 60-day Pro trial, with no credit card needed. Pro raises the limits to 250 active grow blocks and 5 monitored zones, and adds full environmental history and cost tracking. Monitored zones and environmental history need Hypha Aeris (closed beta, not for sale yet); grow tracking works without it.
Hypha emails you before the trial ends. On day 60, an account without a paid plan moves to Free. Free's limits then apply: 25 active grow blocks, 1 monitored zone and 7 days of environmental history. Every block, photo and note you made stays, and older sensor readings aren't deleted. To add more than Free allows, archive a finished grow or upgrade.
Hypha's Pro and Farm plans are billed through Stripe, on the web, from your Hypha account. Checkout happens on Stripe's own page, so your card details go to Stripe, not to us. The iOS and Android apps don't take payments, so you manage your plan on the web.
To cancel, log in on the web, open your Subscription page (Profile → Subscription), then choose Manage billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then drops back to Free. Every block, photo and note you made stays in your account. Older sensor readings aren't deleted, but the Free plan shows only the last 7 days.
Hypha Aeris isn't for sale yet; reservations are planned for 2027. Demeter Mycolabs is aiming for around $160 at full retail for Gen 1, though final pricing isn't set yet.

Planned Privacy Feature: Data Vault
Local, offline-first vault — your data stays local. We're currently researching the best long-term architecture for growers who want enhanced privacy/security workflows.
Want to influence what ships next?
Vote on upcoming features →Hypha Aeris isn't planned to ship outside the United States at first. First production is planned for the US, and the current beta round takes US applicants only. It isn't for sale yet; reservations are planned for 2027.
We're a small startup building early-generation hardware. We want to avoid devices getting delayed or tied up in customs for long periods while we're still iterating quickly on the product.
Customs delays are one reason interoperability and external sensor APIs matter to us long term. We want international growers to be able to use Hypha software and eventually connect their own hardware where possible.
We absolutely hope to expand international hardware availability in the future as manufacturing and logistics stabilize.
Not yet. Today Hypha reads environment data only from its own sensor, Hypha Aeris (closed beta, not for sale yet). Grow tracking works without any sensor.
Interoperability is something we care about a lot. We're building Hypha Aeris first so we can move quickly and tightly integrate the experience. Longer term, we plan to provide APIs so growers can report external sensor data into Hypha and build their own integrations.
Some ecosystems are easier to integrate with than others depending on whether they expose public APIs.
Yes. In Hypha, tap the Farm or Account button in the top bar, then Profile & settings → Privacy & data → Export my data. Hypha builds a .zip of CSV files and downloads it when it's ready, on iOS, Android or the web.
The CSV files cover your own records: zones, grow blocks and their timelines, harvests (flushes), photo-journal details, recipes, inventory and stock changes, and your strain library. Turn on Include photos to add your photos, though the archive takes longer to prepare.
Sensor readings aren't in the archive. If you have a Hypha Aeris (closed beta, not for sale yet), download its readings as a CSV from the device's chart. A farm-wide export, covering everything on a shared farm, is planned.
We strongly believe growers should own their own cultivation data. The CSV files work with spreadsheets, custom tooling, or AI/ML workflows, so you can analyze your own data.
Yes, by default. Hypha shows your grows only to you and to teammates on a shared farm. Demeter Mycolabs doesn't sell your data, and doesn't share your identifiable data with other companies for their own advertising or model training.
Hypha is a cloud-based platform, though, so we can technically access backend data for things like debugging, support, and improving the platform.
A grow is public only if you, or a teammate who can edit it, turn on its public link. Anyone with that link can then see the grow's page, and search engines are told not to index it. You choose what the page shows, such as the strain name, photos, harvests, timeline and grow conditions.
To make a grow private again, turn off the Public link switch at the top of its Grow Summary, and the link stops working. Profile & settings → Privacy & data → Public links lists every public link you turned on and can turn them all off at once.
We care a lot about minimizing unnecessary data collection, handling user data responsibly, and being transparent about how information is used. The Privacy Policy has the full details.
Not in the app yet. Hypha has no AI features available to growers today. Two are in development: a photo check and an AI assistant called Rhizo.
Hypha's photo check is being built to flag possible contamination and tell when a flush is ready to harvest. It isn't accurate enough to ship yet, and the photo check dev log shares the current numbers. To test it, Hypha already runs the photo check in the background on new journal photos, but growers don't see its results yet.
Rhizo is an assistant that answers questions from your own farm's records. Our team is testing Rhizo on our own farms, and the Rhizo dev log shows what it can do so far.
Further out, we're interested in AI for grow analysis, environmental insights and cultivation analytics.
Any use of data for model training would be focused solely on improving the Hypha platform itself — not selling or publicly exposing user content. You can ask us at any time to leave your data out of machine-learning development by emailing support@demetermycolabs.com.
Today, Hypha QR codes are deep links that instantly open specific grow blocks inside the app so growers can quickly:
- log notes
- upload photos
- update stages
- view grow details
We're also researching support for more self-describing/open-standard payloads in the future for interoperability purposes.
Hypha runs as iOS and Android apps plus a web app, with a Free plan that stays free. MycoFile, from Mycosoft LLC, is a separate app that also runs on iPhone and Android and has a free plan. Its paid Pro and Farm plans share Hypha's plan names and add a web app. Mycro is a browser tool for small mushroom farms, and Kinoko is farm-management software with plans up to enterprise scale. The Hypha vs Mycro and Hypha vs Kinoko pages put apps, accounts, free plans, pricing and sensors side by side, from each company's own pages. Each page also says where the other product is the better fit. Our liquid culture buyer's guide lists MycoFile with other tracking apps.
