Hypha App features for mushroom growers
Hypha is a mushroom grow tracking app by Demeter Mycolabs, for iOS, Android and the web. It follows each block from inoculation through harvest, keeping strains and lineage, tasks, inventory, costs and photos in one place. It's built for advanced hobbyists running many strains and for microfarms. The Free plan is free forever; Pro and Farm add cost tracking.
Not for: invoicing and sales orders, compliance or certification records, or switching fans and humidifiers (Hypha doesn't control equipment today).
Free forever · 60 days of Pro included · No credit card · iOS, Android & web

What Can You Do in Hypha?
Hypha tracks your grows, strains, costs, photos and schedule, all in one app.

Which Sensors Does Hypha Support?
Hypha reads temperature, humidity and CO₂ only from its own sensor, Hypha Aeris (closed beta, not for sale yet). Reservations are planned for 2027, and grow tracking works without any sensor.
- Temperature, humidity & CO₂ tracking
- Set ideal ranges and receive alerts
- Historical trends for each zone
How Does Hypha Keep Track of My Grows?
Hypha tracks every bag, jar, and block from inoculation to harvest in one place, so you stop losing track of your grows.
- Organize grows across multiple rooms and zones
- Track progress from start to harvest
- Your cultivation data, always within reach
How Does Hypha Track Culture Lineage?
Hypha links each culture and block you create as a transfer to its parent, so you can trace every generation and see how your genetics perform over time.
- Visual family tree for every strain
- Trace every culture back to its source
- Compare each strain's success and contamination rates
How Does Hypha Work Out Cost per Pound?
Hypha works out cost per fresh pound by block and strain on Pro and Farm, from each block's prep cost and harvest weight. Supplies, recipes, prep and harvests sit in one place, so you know which genetics earn their substrate before you quote your next restaurant.
- Track supplies and grow-ready inventory
- Calculate batch costs automatically
- Cost per fresh pound by block and strain, on Pro and Farm
How Does Hypha Organize Grow Photos?
Hypha organizes your photos by grow, so you can document every stage and watch each grow evolve.
- Side-by-side growth comparisons
- Timeline and gallery views
- Capture notes alongside photos

How Does Hypha Remind Me of Each Step?
Hypha sets up reminders for each grow's next step and lists them in the Schedule tab, so you never miss a critical step.
- Daily task reminders
- Reminders in the Schedule tab when the next step is due
- Custom schedules for every grow
Can Hypha Walk Me Through My First Grow?
Hypha walks you through each stage of a first bag or tub, with in-app reminders for break & shake and fruiting.
- Grow-stages guide and step-by-step app tours
- Reminders to break & shake and to move blocks into fruiting
- Every guide and reminder is on the Free plan
Can I Connect With Other Growers in Hypha?
Hypha's community features (grower profiles and Signal-based discussion) are planned for 2027 and aren't in the app yet. Your grows stay private by default, and you choose exactly what to share.
- Planned for 2027: grower profiles to show what you're cultivating
- Private by default — you choose what to share
- Today: share a grow with a public link or a harvest card

Yes, by default. Hypha shows your grows only to you and to teammates on a shared farm. Demeter Mycolabs doesn't sell your data, and doesn't share your identifiable data with other companies for their own advertising or model training.
Hypha is a cloud-based platform, though, so we can technically access backend data for things like debugging, support, and improving the platform.
A grow is public only if you, or a teammate who can edit it, turn on its public link. Anyone with that link can then see the grow's page, and search engines are told not to index it. You choose what the page shows, such as the strain name, photos, harvests, timeline and grow conditions.
To make a grow private again, turn off the Public link switch at the top of its Grow Summary, and the link stops working. Profile & settings → Privacy & data → Public links lists every public link you turned on and can turn them all off at once.
We care a lot about minimizing unnecessary data collection, handling user data responsibly, and being transparent about how information is used. The Privacy Policy has the full details.
Hypha runs as iOS and Android apps plus a web app, with a Free plan that stays free. MycoFile, from Mycosoft LLC, is a separate app that also runs on iPhone and Android and has a free plan. Its paid Pro and Farm plans share Hypha's plan names and add a web app. Mycro is a browser tool for small mushroom farms, and Kinoko is farm-management software with plans up to enterprise scale. The Hypha vs Mycro and Hypha vs Kinoko pages put apps, accounts, free plans, pricing and sensors side by side, from each company's own pages. Each page also says where the other product is the better fit. Our liquid culture buyer's guide lists MycoFile with other tracking apps.
